Our Engagement
The Squad
Christina is Amanda’s little sister and the Maid of Honor. “Christina is the best sister anyone could ask for, and I am so blessed to be able to have her as my maid of honor. She just knows me so well; I couldn’t do this without her.” – The Bride
Lindsey is Amanda’s godsister and cousin. “Lindsey was one of my first friends in life and we’re just as close now as we were back then, if not closer. She has such a big heart and really truly is the kindest soul I know. I just love her to pieces.” – The Bride
Sasha is one of Amanda’s closest friends. “Sasha is for sure one of my besties for life. I can’t go a day without talking to her, and we just always have a great time together. She has such an amazing spirit and her positive energy is contagious. She’s also the only person I know that understands my obsession with Broadway.” – The Bride
“Denise has been one of my closest friends for like 10 years now and she absolutely changed my life. She gave me the confidence to be myself and I am who I am in large part because of her love and friendship. I really don’t know who or where I’d be without her.” – The Bride
Shanique is one of Amanda’s former college roommates and closest friends. “Shanique was one of my first friends in college; we were pretty much attached at the hip freshman year. She’s the kind of friend who tells it like it is, even when no one else will, and I love her for it. She actually played an important role in Jorge and I getting together, so she was one of the few to witness (and support) it from the beginning.” – The Bride
Lanilei is one of Amanda’s former college roommates and closest friends. “I actually met Lei through Shanique freshman year, and we hit it off right away. We’ve helped each other through a lot of lows and celebrated a lot of highs together. I can’t imagine what college would have been like without her. She was my rock, and I like to think I was hers.” – The Bride
Esteban is Jorge's younger brother and the Best Man. “(No we are not twins). I can’t imagine my life without Estey. He was my first roommate and we were always together when not in school, before I left to college. We fought, we laughed, we had great times, we had times we annoyed each other, and at the end we always had each other. As we both continue our journeys in life, I know Estey will always be there for me at a moment’s notice; as I will for him. Thank you for being my Best Man!"
Christian is Jorge’s godbrother. “Christian has always been a little brother to me. He was the third musketeer with my and my brother Estey growing up. We played little league together, played hours of video games (GoldenEye 007 for 64 was the go-to), and traveled together with each other families. As one of my earliest friends I can remember, my wedding wouldn’t feel complete without him as a groomsman.” – The Groom
Chris is one of Jorge’s closest friends and college sidekick. “When I first arrived at RPI, I thought I was starting that journey on my own. But on the first day, as I was going around saying hi to people, out of nowhere, I see Chris. We went to middle school together, but different high schools and it was like we didn’t miss a step. Literally my sidekick at RPI, we both completed the same major. I definitely would not have graduated if it wasn’t for Chris, and I like to think he thinks the sam
Roberto is one of Jorge’s best friends from high school. “We have reached the point where we have known each other for more than half our lives. Rob is one of those people that no matter where, or how far apart, we are, our friendship gets closer and stronger with time. Rob has always been there and supported me in all that I do. I am truly grateful Rob is part of my wedding party.” – The Groom
Steve is one of Jorge’s best friends, fraternity brother, and former college roommate. “Mr. Do Something Crazy has taught me so much about life. I would not be who I am today if I did not meet Steve and bond like we did. Steve is the happiest person I know. His passion and talent for creative art is inspiring. Steve is my fraternal twin brother from another mother. He has supported my relationship with Amanda from the beginning and was just a must as a groomsman.” – The Groom
Miguel is one of Jorge’s closest fraternity brothers. “Miguel is like the older brother I never had. Since I met him, he has always been there for me whenever I needed guidance and advice at RPI and after. We are both born and raised from the Bronx, which may explain part of why we have a great friendship and understanding of each other. I truly appreciate Miguel being one of my groomsmen.” – The Groom
